Ring pics and latest news

Well, it's been another busy week, though I'm never sure where all the time goes!
I've been sick witha cold most of the week, but still somehow on cloud nine staring at my beautiful engagement ring, not quite realizing it's MY ring! I'm so excited to get married, though of course, being a "child of divorce" (what a gross term), I have my nerves. Matt's my best friend, though. I can go to him with any problem. It rocks :-) I think spending the rest of my life with the dude will be pretty sweet :-)
So, this week has been full of Heart Project stuff - lots of phone calls and networking. I have this great volunteer here, Lauren, who is really getting the word out for us, which is exactly what we need!
That's kind of all I have to share right now. I am considering myself somewhat unemployed right now, but I've decided to embrace that and have fun getting some stuff in my life in order while I also spend time getting the Heart Project going here in Indiana. It also gives me a little time to plan the wedding and stay in shape for it! Matt seems to be getting back into the swing of things after taking a much-deserved but perhaps too lengthy break from serious studying. He feels like he's on top of things, but I think after the way last semester ended - with much frustration and stress for him -- he wants to do everything he can to get AHEAD in his classes this semester.
Below are pics of the ring. I'm such a girl :-) Have not had too many opportunities to shove my hand in people's faces this week to show it off, so I resort to the internet!

Announcement

On Saturday, Matt proposed :-) We're excited, to say the least. We're planning on getting married this summer, so it will be quite a short engagement! At some point soon, when my camera is functioning properly, I will post a picture of the ring, which is absolutely beautiful. The central stone is an emerald-cut sapphire that belonged to my mother. The ring has a sort of antique look to it, and it's just amazingly perfect for my tastes.
In terms of how he proposed - well, the dog was involved :-) Poor Pepper had no idea what was happening and why, when his collar was fastened around his neck, he was not taken outside. It was all very cute. Matt's plans were nearly ruined several times as he tried to hide the already-collared Pep from me while I wandered around the house getting dressed after a shower. Very amusing :-)

My own blog!

Ok, so the last blog didn't work out so well (you can see it at www.breakenda.zoomshare.com). I think I'll try this in earnest now, a place to share my thoughts and whatnot right?
Well, for those of you I haven't blabbed to, because I'm the worst EVER at keeping a secret. Well, nevermind. I'm not going to blab right now. I'm going to post it on the internet when it's time to announce to the world that....damn it...I'm not going to blab. In fact, not only am I not going to post this tidbit on said internet...I'm probably not going to have any visitors until I CAN blab blab blab.
The more I type it, the funnier that word gets. Blab. Blab. It's remarkably difficult to type. Blab.
Aight, so now that I have "blabbed" all over the place without actually blabbing anything...ummm...tune in later for a bit o' gossip!
Love to everyone who isn't reading this! :-D
