Hanukkah 5 and 6

Night 5: Brea and Matt made dinner together of chicken tenders and french fries. Yum! And low sodium! Brea got a handmade vase by the same artist she got an awesome mug by last year! Matt got "sipping chocolate." Very gourmet!

Night 6: Matt proctored an exam and got home really late :-( But we still had Hanukkah! Matt got mint sipping chocolate! And Brea got a certificate good for 1 chili dog of her choosing, redeemable on or about April 3, 2008. Oh yes. I will be having a chili dog and fries delivered to the hospital :-) The certificate even has a fancy schmancy waiter with a steaming covered tray. Must be my chili dog!

Hanukkah 4

Tonight was our 4th night of Hanukkah :-)

Matt got Brea a pack of Uno cards for last night's present. We can play together, and we can eventually play with our kid!

Brea got Matt a tasty-sounding Pineapple Coconut Mango Tequila sauce so he can throw together dinner one night without a complicated recipe or worrying about sodium!

For tonight, Matt got Brea a salsa cookbook! Sweet!

Hanukkah 2 and 3

Day 2 brought a backrub for Brea and gelt and a little handmade wooden box for Matt :-)

Team Carlson also enjoyed Hanukkah Dinner of matzo ball soup, latkes, and brisket!

Day 3 brought Matt gourmet hot and spicy peanuts and some chocolate covered peanut brittle.

Brea will get her present on Day 4....Matt had a busier day than anticipated :-(

Happy Hanukkah!

After a rather helacious day of travel yesterday, we opted to move Hanukkah back a night and start celebrating our 8 days tonight. We're Team Carlson, we can do such things.

So, to kick off Team Carlson Hanukkah, I planned to make dinner and failed to find the time to do it. This Hanukkah thing is complicated!

Anyway, my gift to Matt was a slice of carrot cake from The Bakehouse and two loaves of "day old" priced bread (because I picked it up after 6PM). I think it actually tasted better because it was such a steal!

Matt's gift to me RULES - he is going to clean the oven and move the fridge aside and clean under and behind it!!! Considerring I neither want to move heavy objects nor inhale oven-cleaning chemicals (or bend over an oven, for that matter), this is an AWESOME gift. I have been talking about hiring someone just to do those things for awhile. Instead, my hubby will do it! Sweet!
